You Can’t Drink Grapes
We are called to be broken bread and poured out wine.
Oswald Chambers made this observation:
“If we are ever going to be made into wine, we will have to be crushed–you cannot drink grapes. Grapes become wine only when they have been squeezed” (Sept. 30th devotional).
I am not a wine drinker, but I get Oswald’s point. I am not a fan of being crushed and squeezed. But I recognize that the outcome of the pressure is a beautiful thing.
From time to time, leaders need to be crushed and squeezed. Perhaps you’re feeling the pressure right now. Take courage. Have hope. God is making a fine wine.
